If 2024 Was Your Best Year Ever
"Imagine you were looking back at 2024, and you decided, hands down, it had been your best year so far. What would've had to happen that made it the best year for you?" I loved this question Dean Graziosi asked our group.
Imagine if you started your year with the end in mind and worked it backward. You already might have your list of goals for 2024. I also know that, around this time in January, unfortunately more than half have quit on them already.
However, I believe that if you ask yourself these 3 questions, you can get clarity on the goals you'd love, your action plan, and your personal development strategy for this year:
-If 2024 was your best year, why was that? What did you do differently?
-What top 3 dreams and goals did you reach that made you feel like an overcomer?
-Who did you become in the process of fulfilling these goals to feel your best?
If you answer these questions with genuine honesty, your imagination and thoughts toward those desires and goals will be so powerful that you could be on your way to making them happen!
As Stephen R. Covey once said, "All things are created twice," first in your mind and then in real life. Isn't that the truth? If you dream it and then plan it, -you'll live it!
We all start where we are. It's ok. It's our race, our journey. We don't need to compare any part of our life to others. We cannot physically be someone else. Let's honor who we are and strive to be our best. We only need to be a better version of ourselves than who we were last decade, last year, last week.
At the end of the day, we're only competing against ourselves to become our best version. It's a journey where we maximize our potential, find purpose, and positively impact others with what we have to offer the world.
What small changes can we make to have better outcomes in 2024? How can we take more responsibility for our lives, choices, and circumstances without excuses?
I don't know about you, but in the past, writing 50 things I wanted to achieve before December got me overwhelmed and doubtful if I could even accomplish any of it -right about this time. I was right where many people are today!
We need to start with our desires, dreams, and why we want those things. How do we want to feel when we achieve them? What is our ultimate motivation?
Let's write these kinds of goals down for 2024! Then, we'll be empowered by what we love doing and not weighed down by what we "have" to do. We can’t start with tasks.
I'm a Life Coach. I'm all for goals, but nobody wants to do them when they don't feel motivated. We get stuck. We doubt ourselves and our capabilities. But when we think of our highest wishes and why we want them, this fuels our goals and everything we want to do, achieve, and be.
Towards the end of his life, Steve Jobs said: "The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” I hope you love what you do this year to make 2024 your best year yet!
